Qualifications

• Background in welding and fabrication in heavy structural steel.
• Must pass welding tests (1G, 2G, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits per blueprints and layouts.
• Verify conformance of work pieces using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.
• Lay out and examine metal stock to ensure specifications are met.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses.
