Job summary

Tate Americas in Glasgow, KY is seeking a Welder for 2nd or 3rd shift to measure, cut, assemble metal components and construct trusses. You’ll interpret blueprints, set up equipment, test weld strength, and collaborate with design and production teams.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years of structural welding, and basic math. AWS certification preferred. Pay range $28–$30 per hour plus shift differential; benefits include medical/dental/vision and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in structural welding.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Selects, measures, cuts, and joins metals to specifications.
• Prepares metals and surfaces for welding and assembly.
• Interprets specifications and blueprints accurately.
• Inspects welding equipment and tests weld strength.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping per SOPs.
