Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking an Associate Designer to craft engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects. You will own the design lifecycle from initiation through construction completion and closeout, delivering compliant, well-documented solutions using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS and client platforms.

The role requires strong CAD skills (Revit), collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and the ability to travel up to 25% for field activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related technical field preferred.
• Related technical certificates in CADD and related software platforms preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering design environments.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects in compliance with specs and codes.
• Own all design lifecycle phases from initiation to closeout.
• Prepare detailed engineering documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS and asset management tools.
• Analyze topographical surveys, utility atlas data, field sketches and datasheets.
• Develop utility pole loading models and generate PO requests; report clearly for clients.
