Job summary

DMVA seeks a skilled trades technician to support the Civil Engineering Division at Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, with coordination across Greeley ANGS, Peterson SFB and Fort Carson ranges. Responsibilities include maintenance of doors, electrical systems, carpentry, flooring, ceilings, and coordination of service contracts.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of progressive experience in the structural trades.
• Or a combination of related education, formal apprenticeship, and/or relevant experience totaling four years.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and repair on door systems, interior/exterior doors, overhead garage doors and gate systems.
• Maintains and repairs low voltage electrical systems on doors and gate operators and related equipment.
• Performs carpentry and building maintenance work including rough framing and finish carpentry.
• Installs and maintains flooring, ceilings, roofing, walls, drywall, painting and finishing tasks.
• Installs and repairs cabinets, countertops and office furniture; conducts inspections and scheduling of maintenance.
• Provides assistance to other trades and escorts contractors as needed; handles work orders and scheduling.
