Job summary

SNC is seeking a Structural Technician IV to oversee highly complex assembly operations in the aerospace sector. The role requires expert technical support, mentorship, and leadership of large-scale projects, coordinating with engineering management and improving manufacturing processes.

Applicants should have 5+ years of experience, blueprint mastery, and the ability to interpret complex schematics. A Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required; travel may be involved.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience; higher degree may substitute.
  • Mastery in blueprint reading and technical documentation.
  • Ability to read complex schematics, diagrams, blueprints and manuals; install per drawings.
  • Advanced experience with structure assembly and repair/refinishing (airframe corrosion removal).
  • Ability to install fasteners such as rivets and hi‑locks.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Are you a highly skilled mechanic ready to take your aviation career to next level? Join our team! As a Structural Technician IV, you will oversee the most complex and critical assembly operations. This role involves providing expert technical support, leading large-scale projects, and ensuring the integration of best practices in all assembly processes. You will act as a key liaison between the production floor and engineering management, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Mastery in blueprint reading and technical documentation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch.
  • Advanced experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable.
  • Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Associate's degree in aerospace manufacturing or related discipline.
  • Advanced certifications in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale assembly projects.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
Essential Functions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Required to be on your feet for most of the work shift.
  • Use of hand and power tools requiring hand/finger dexterity.
  • Exposure to noisy and potentially hazardous environments; proper safety gear must be worn.
  • Ability to travel may be required.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $34.90 - $47.99. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
