Job description

The Technical Trainer III is responsible for leading the development, design, and implementation of comprehensive technical content and training materials for both internal and external customers. This role includes delivering on-site and remote client support by providing expert training programs and advising on technical training materials. The Trainer III collaborates with product management, engineers, and program managers to ensure training programs are effective and aligned with company objectives.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Responsibilities:
  • Train and mentor new team members in the effective use of key systems, including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Tracking+ (as applicable), and internal policies and procedures.
  • Instruct personnel on compliance with FAA Part 145 repair station regulations, DCMA standards, AS9100 quality management requirements, OSHA safety rules, as well as company-specific Flight Operating Procedures (FOPs) and Ground Operating Procedures (GOPs).
  • Demonstrate expertise in supporting tools and software such as Palantir, Shop Floor (if applicable), MES modules (including Non-Conformance, and Unplanned Work, and Dispositions), and AM2 or other maintenance tracking and scheduling platforms.
  • Guide staff in locating and utilizing operational resources, including the Operations Resource Center (ORC) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).
  • Utilize and provide instruction on digital tools including eDR, SNC Chat, OneSNC.ai, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Copilot, Command Media Center, and IAS Engineering Specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant systems, software, and regulatory requirements to ensure best practices in training and operational support.
Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Experience designing, developing, or delivering technical training programs for adult learners in an aviation or technical environment
  • Advanced proficiency with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for data‑driven decision making
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices
  • Prior experience with change management and user adoption in complex technical environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without direct authority
  • Active A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license, FAA Inspection Authorization (IA), or other relevant certifications
  • Strong track record of successful collaboration with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and IT teams
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or other government/military aviation programs
  • Evidence of continuing education, professional development, or participation in industry organizations

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $74,581.13 - $102,549.04. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
