Qualdoc in Ashland, VA is seeking a Structural Steel Welder/Fitter for 1st shift. This contract-to-hire role starts at $23.00/hour and requires welding experience, accurate measurement skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

You will read drawings, weld and fit components, and ensure work meets specs. Qualifications include Flux-Core MIG welding, the ability to pass a 1G weld test (3G preferred), and proficiency with inspection tools.

Qualificações

• Experience with Flux-Core MIG welding.
• Ability to pass a flat 1G weld test; 3G welding preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience using inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, and rulers.
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to use squares, tape measures, Bessey clamps, reachovers, levels, and hammers.
• Good communication skills and dependable attendance.

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process specifications.
• Weld and fit metal components to meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Operate welding and metal-forming equipment safely and accurately.
• Check finished work against production schedules and specifications.
• Follow Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area while meeting quality and productivity goals.
