Job summary

Qualdoc in York, PA is seeking skilled structural steel welders and fitters. Candidates will read blueprints, set up and weld or fit components, and work from project specs to ensure quality and safety.

You may specialize as a structural steel fitter, welder, or welder/fitter. Shifts available 1st and 2nd, with pay up to $25/hour plus a $3/hour second shift differential; full-time with potential for contract-to-hire.

Qualifications

• Experience as a structural steel fitter/welder in fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in welding processes and equipment.
• Capable of setting up and operating a track torch.
• Able to pass flux-core welding tests for welding roles.
• AWS welding certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Measure, position, and fit components.
• Perform welding and fitting per requirements.
• Set up and operate a track torch.
• Maintain welding equipment safely.
• Perform flux-core welding and meet test standards.
• Inspect completed work for fit and weld quality.
• Coordinate with team to meet production schedules.
• Maintain organized work area and follow safety procedures.
