Job summary

Midsouth Steel seeks a Superintendent for our Alabama territory, primarily serving the Birmingham area with some travel. You will oversee steel installation projects, combining field supervision with business development to build client relationships and generate leads.

Responsibilities include managing subcontractors, coordinating deliveries and installations, and maintaining comprehensive daily reports. The role requires experience in steel fabrication/installation, OSHA 30 (CPR preferred),

Qualifications

• Must have OSHA 30 and CPR certifications preferred.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Experience as Superintendent or Foreman with additional business development and sales experience.
• Knowledgeable in steel fabrication with manufacturing and installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee steel installation projects in the Birmingham area.
• Combine field supervision with business development.
• Manage subcontractors, coordinate deliveries and installations.
• Conduct field measurements and ensure site safety.
• Build client relationships and generate new leads.
• Maintain project documentation with daily reports.
• Coordinate with GC/CM and ensure timely installations.
• Ensure equipment is returned and subs are on site as needed.
• Provide daily progress updates and communicate with management.
