Job summary

Midsouth Steel in Alabama is looking for a Superintendent to oversee steel installation projects in the Birmingham area, with some travel to outlier locations. This role blends field supervision with active business development and client relationship building.

The ideal candidate will manage subcontractors, coordinate deliveries, perform field measurements, and uphold rigorous safety standards on site, while maintaining comprehensive project documentation and daily activity reports.

Qualifications

OSHA 30 required; CPR certifications preferred.
Clean driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Experience as a Superintendent or Foreman with additional business development and sales experience.
Knowledgeable in the steel business with manufacturing and installation experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee steel installation projects, combining field supervision with business development.
Manage subcontractors, coordinate deliveries and installations, and conduct field measurements.
Ensure jobsite safety and maintain project documentation through daily reporting.
Build client relationships and generate new leads in the Birmingham area.
