Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Materials Manager - Structural Steel to lead purchasing, inventory control, and project coordination in Dallas, TX. This hybrid office and shop-floor role combines strategic oversight with hands-on problem solving to keep production on schedule.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Detailing, Production, and Receiving teams, using Tekla PowerFab or a similar ERP system to manage purchasing, inventory, and production tracking, while building strong

Qualifications

• Experience purchasing structural steel or construction materials.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and materials planning.
• Experience using Tekla PowerFab or similar ERP/MRP.
• Excellent organizational and cross-department collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing structural steel, hardware, and materials.
• Managing inventory levels and allocating materials across projects.
• Building relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Coordinating with Project Managers, Detailing, Production, Receiving.
• Using Tekla PowerFab to manage purchasing, inventory, receiving, and production tracking.
• Maximizing efficiency and reducing waste by combining material requirements.
• Monitoring deliveries and ensuring material availability to keep production on schedule.
• Shop floor verification of materials and supporting operations.
