Valmont Industries seeks a skilled Fitter in Tulsa to lay out, align, and fit steel components per blueprints. You’ll support welders by preparing parts and ensuring dimensional accuracy.

Ideal candidates will have layout experience, the ability to read shop drawings, and familiarity with tack welding. A safety-first mindset and pride in quality workmanship are essential in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of layout or fitting experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, and layout tools.
• Familiarity with tack welding and fabrication processes.
• Experience using overhead cranes, grinders, and cutting tools.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A strong safety mindset and pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align, and fit steel parts according to blueprints and shop drawings.
• Tack weld components prior to final weld.
• Measure and verify dimensions for accuracy.
• Operate overhead cranes and hand/power tools safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a high-performing team.
