Qualdoc is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fitter in Cocoa, FL for a shop-based role. The position requires reading blueprints, taking accurate measurements, and assembling steel components using cutting and fabrication tools. This direct-hire opportunity offers 1st and 2nd shift options and no travel.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a production environment with safety procedures in place.

Formación

• Experience as Structural Steel Fitter or in related steel fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience measuring, cutting, fitting and assembling steel components.
• Familiarity with oxyacetylene torches, plasma cutters, drill presses, angle presses, and other fabrication equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Review blueprints, drawings, and project specs to determine material dimensions and assembly requirements.
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare steel materials using hand tools and shop equipment.
• Position, align, fit, and assemble structural steel components to required specs.
• Operate fabrication tools such as torches, plasma cutters, drills, and presses.
• Use measuring tools to ensure accurate layouts and fit-up; inspect finished assemblies.
• Coordinate with shop personnel to maintain production schedules.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
