Job summary

Forza Group is seeking a highly skilled Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Estimator and Salesperson in Senoia, GA. You will estimate costs for structural and miscellaneous steel components, support project planning, budgeting, and bidding, and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate, competitive proposals.

The role requires reading structural drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, and developing complete bid packages while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in structural and miscellaneous steel estimating.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to define scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for structural steel, miscellaneous metals, bolts, welds, decking, coatings.
• Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals including cost data and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop bids covering fabrication, shop labor, field erection, equipment, crane services, and subcontracted work.
• Coordinate with project teams to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies before bids.
• Identify risks, scope gaps and value engineering opportunities to improve competitiveness.
• Deliver complete bid proposals and pricing summaries by deadlines.
• Maintain historical cost databases to improve estimating accuracy.
