Zusammenfassung

Blueprint Search Group is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and related fabrication projects. The role requires reading drawings, performing takeoffs, and pricing steel materials and labor.

You will coordinate with project teams, suppliers, and customers, manage bids, and maintain organized bid documentation. A minimum of 5 years in structural steel estimation and proficiency with estimating software are

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience estimating structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or metal fabrication projects.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of structural steel shapes, fabrication processes, and construction methods.
• Experience performing material takeoffs and developing labor and material pricing.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating-related software.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Aufgaben

• Review construction drawings, structural plans, specifications, and project documents.
• Perform accurate material and quantity takeoffs for structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Prepare estimates for steel beams, columns, wide flange shapes, tubes, pipes, bar joists, and related items.
• Estimate material, labor, fabrication, equipment, freight, and other project costs.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from material suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, detailers, shop personnel, vendors, and customers.
• Assist with pricing change orders and revisions as needed.
• Maintain organized estimating records and bid documentation.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project specs and company standards.
• Support the team in identifying opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and profitability.
