Job summary

Superior Rigging & Erecting is seeking a Structural Steel Estimator to support our Florida operations in Orlando. The role focuses on accurate estimates for steel erection, reviewing drawings, performing takeoffs, and developing bid packages for submission.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating experience in structural steel or related construction, with strong math, attention to detail and proficiency in Excel. Travel to project locations may be required.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in construction estimating, structural steel or related field.
Experience estimating steel erection or commercial construction preferred.
Ability to read structural/architectural drawings and specs.
Experience performing quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates.
Knowledge of cranes, labor, equipment, and jobsite logistics.

Responsibilities

Review drawings, specs, bid documents and project requirements.
Prepare labor, material, equipment, crane, trucking, and subcontractor estimates.
Coordinate with operations, project management, sales and field leadership.
Develop bid packages, proposals and supporting documentation.
Assist with handoff of awarded projects to operations.
