Mid-State Welding is seeking an Experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our team in Clinton, MS. This role focuses on detailed takeoffs, reviewing project scope, coordinating pricing, and developing estimates for leadership review.

Ideal candidates read drawings, have steel fabrication estimating experience, and are proficient with Excel and Tekla PowerFab or similar software. The position offers steady hours in an indoor shop environment and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Experience reading construction drawings is required.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to develop detailed estimates.
• Familiarity with Tekla PowerFab or similar software preferred.
• Experience with structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or fabrication is advantageous.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review structural, architectural, and miscellaneous-metal drawings and project scope.
• Perform detailed material takeoffs for structural steel and related metals.
• Develop detailed project estimates incorporating quantities, labor, pricing, and factors.
• Verify vendor quotes for scope and requirements.
• Prepare leadership-ready estimates with major quantities and costs.
• Assist with bid tracking and cost comparisons against results.
• Manage multiple estimates while meeting deadlines with accuracy.
