Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a field steel erector with experience in reading drawings, planning work and performing duties independently on site. You will set up hoisting gear, place girders, bolt and weld components, and ensure accurate alignment while maintaining strict safety standards.

Responsibilities include guiding loads with tag lines, operating basic tools, and performing routine maintenance. A strong emphasis on teamwork and adherence to project rules is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Knowledge of common concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Works under supervision and follows established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Set up hoisting equipment and position structural-steel members.
• Hook and fasten steel members to hoist cables.
• Signal hoist operator and guide members into position.
• Weld and cut steel as needed.
• Transport and handle materials; observe safety rules.
