Kinsley Steel, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Full Time Machine Operator to set up and operate a range of fabrication shop equipment. You will ensure accurate material handling, verify design specifications, and maintain clean, safe work areas while supporting timely production.

The role requires reading CAD drawings, measuring with tape to 1/16 inch, and a strong work ethic. Prior CNC experience and overhead crane operation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Interpret CAD drawings, symbols and notes accurately.
• Read tape measure to within 1/16 inch.
• Stand for prolonged periods; maintain focus on accuracy.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and work ethic.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with CNC machines preferred.
• Experience with overhead crane operation preferred.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of fabrication shop equipment.
• Select correct machine settings for optimal processing.
• Measure materials to ensure conformance with design specs.
• Select material type, stock size and dimensions as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Keep and manage an accurate record of daily operations and materials usage.
