Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Omaha, NE seeks a QA Inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections of sub-assemblies, assemblies, processes, and final products. The role has authority to reject non-conforming work and to stop non-conforming production, with guidance under AWS and DWS procedures.

You will inspect incoming materials, conduct non-destructive testing as required, document results, and assist in certification of production personnel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in structural steel or related industry.
• Completion of a 2-year technical degree in NDT, welding, or related discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
• Excellent communication and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspection of sub-assemblies, assemblies, processes, and final product.
• Perform first-article inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection of fabrication processes and finished product.
• Inspect incoming raw materials and other purchased materials.
• Perform non-destructive testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Document inspections and maintain records.
• Calibrate/verify precision instruments in the shop.
• Assist in evaluating/certifying production personnel as instructed by QA Supervisor.
• Complete documentation using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Blue Beam).
