Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our Twin Cities Metro team.

You will develop design packages for bridges and structures, perform analyses, and assist in plan development and specifications while coordinating with engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate has a PE, 6+ years of civil engineering experience with bridge design, and proficiency in MicroStation CONNECT, OpenBridge and/or OpenRoads, plus knowledge of state DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or near licensure (within 6–12 months).
• 6+ years' progressive civil engineering experience with bridge design.
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
• Proficiency in MicroStation CONNECT, OpenBridge and/or OpenRoads.
• Proficiency in structural design and analysis software.
• Knowledge of State DOT requirements.
• Valid driver's license due to site travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design computations for bridges and structures.
• Project layout and design in MicroStation CONNECT and/or OpenBridge/OpenRoads.
• Prepare and present preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and quantity take-offs.
• Travel to work sites and project locations as required.
• Direct work of engineers and technicians on multiple projects.
• Support business development opportunities and client relations.
