Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Project Engineer in Concord, CA to assist the Project Manager with design and analysis of structures, prepare and manage contract documents, and coordinate field activities to keep projects on schedule.

You will perform structural material analysis, develop plans and specifications, review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and ensure compliance with codes. A Civil Engineering degree and 3–6 years' experience are required, with proficiency in RISA, Enercalcs, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–6 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong prioritization, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficient with RISA Suite, Enercalcs, and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, preparation, and finalization of project documents.
• Contract administration duties, such as RFIs and shop drawings/submittals.
• Designs load-bearing structures or structural elements.
• Performs analysis of building materials for construction use.
• Develops plans and specifications for construction and ensures code compliance.
• Determines causes of structural failures through site investigations.
• Provides reports detailing investigations and damages.
