Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our integrated engineering and design team in a role that advances complex project design tasks. You will work with senior engineers, manage portions of projects, and ensure designs meet technical and regulatory requirements.

You will lead development of detailed drawings, perform analyses, and use AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks to produce construction documents.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 3-4 years’ experience in engineering design and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of engineering designs for complex components of projects, including preparing detailed technical drawings and calculations.
• Perform engineering analyses, calculations, and simulations to verify that designs meet client, code, and regulatory requirements.
• Use design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) to create detailed models, schematics, and construction documents that align with project specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure the seamless integration of building systems.
• Conduct research on materials, technologies, and applicable regulations to ensure that designs are compliant with industry standards and best practices.
• Participate in project management activities, including scheduling, task coordination, and managing deliverables to ensure timely project completion.
• Attend client and team meetings to present design concepts, provide technical updates, and address project concerns.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, resolve technical issues on-site, and ensure that design intent is being followed during execution.
