Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager with design and analysis of structures, and to handle contract administration duties including RFIs and submittals. You will contribute to schedules, coordinate with teams, and help ensure code compliance on multiple projects.

You will apply civil engineering fundamentals, perform material analyses, and develop plans and specifications for construction.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
3–6 years' experience.
Strong prioritization and organizational skills, detail-oriented.
Proficient with RISA Suite, Enercalcs, MS Excel.
Earns trust and takes ownership of projects, results and customer service.
Understands jobsite environment and reviews progress with little supervision.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development, preparation, and finalization of project documents.
Contract administration duties, such as responding to RFIs, and checking shop drawings / submittals.
Designs load-bearing structures or structural elements.
Performs analysis of building materials for use in construction.
Develops plans and specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations.
Determines cause of structural failures, damages, and defects through site investigations.
Provides reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure.
