Job summary

Stratus Team LLC is seeking a Civil Design Engineer in Wilkesboro, NC. This entry-level role supports the design team by developing engineering solutions, preparing drawings, and assisting senior engineers in the design process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 0-1 year of experience in engineering design or internship experience.
• Experience with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) in an internship or academic setting.

• Use CAD and other design software to create and modify engineering drawings and plans, ensuring adherence to project specifications and company standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to gather technical input and integrate various engineering systems into designs.
• Participate in project meetings, taking notes and providing updates on assigned tasks to ensure that design development is on track.
• Assist in preparing project documentation, including design reports, calculations, and specifications, for review by senior engineers.
• Conduct field visits or site inspections to gather data or assist in assessing existing conditions as needed.
• Support quality control efforts by reviewing design deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with firm standards.

The Role

The Civil Design Engineer is an entry-level engineering role responsible for supporting the design team in developing engineering solutions for projects.
