Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join a leading global structural engineering consultancy. You will help deliver complex projects across mission critical, aviation, and advanced manufacturing sectors in a technically driven, collaborative environment.

You will work with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams on structural analysis, design development, and project coordination, taking ownership as you grow technically and professionally within a globally connected

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • Master's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • Minimum 4+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building design.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of residence.
  • Experience utilizing RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, Revit, and BIM 360.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building projects across multiple sectors.
  • Develop engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate structural systems and design solutions with architectural and MEP disciplines.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineering team members on project tasks and deliverables.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and design milestones in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Review material selections and structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Participate in construction administration activities, including RFIs and shop drawing reviews.

As a Structural Project Engineer

As a Structural Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through construction. Working closely with senior engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary design teams, you will be responsible for structural analysis, design development, project coordination, and client interaction.

This position is ideal for a licensed engineer looking to take greater ownership of projects while continuing to grow technically and professionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building projects across multiple sectors
  • Develop engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents
  • Coordinate structural systems and design solutions with architectural and MEP disciplines
  • Lead and mentor junior engineering team members on project tasks and deliverables
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and design milestones in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Review material selections and structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
  • Participate in construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, shop drawing reviews, and site observations
  • Conduct technical investigations, assessments, and peer reviews
  • Attend client meetings, document project discussions, and support relationship management efforts
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and help maintain strong client partnerships
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis
  • Master's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis
  • Minimum 4+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building design
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of residence
  • Experience utilizing RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, Revit, and BIM 360
  • Strong knowledge of structural building systems and applicable building codes
  • Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project responsibilities and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
