The City of Phoenix Planning & Development Department seeks a Structural Plans Engineer to review and examine complex building construction plans for compliance with adopted codes and ordinances. You will advise architects, engineers, and contractors on code interpretation and help resolve intricate issues.

Ideal candidates have experience in plan review, strong communication skills, and proficiency with digital design and plan review tools such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and ProjectDox.

Formación

• Three years of experience in the building construction industry relating to structural engineering for buildings or similar structures.
• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering or a related field.
• Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

Responsabilidades

• Review and examine complex building construction plans for compliance with adopted codes and ordinances.
• Provide written and verbal guidance on interpretation of the Phoenix Building Construction Code to resolve issues.
• Maintain consistency among plan review and inspection staff.
