The City of Peoria seeks a Plans Examiner II to perform advanced plan reviews for complex building projects, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with adopted codes and city standards. You will prepare and complete reviews with attention to structural documents for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

Ideal candidates will coordinate with internal teams, advise on code interpretations, and maintain comprehensive records.

Formación

4–6 years of experience in plan review or similar roles.
Two-year college program or equivalent knowledge required.
Arizona Class D driver's license preferred upon hire.
ICC certifications as specified are preferred or required within one year.

Responsabilidades

Coordinate work with staff, project managers, and departments.
Advise engineers, architects, contractors, government officials, utility representatives, and the public on code changes, interpretations, and methods.
Plan review activities including maintaining records and files; enter plan review discrepancies into a tracking system; perform admin tasks and respond to inquiries.
Assist with the development counter, answering questions of a technical nature and explaining City policies and codes.
