Oliver Inc. in Twinsburg, OH, is seeking a lead structural designer for folding cartons to guide projects from concept to prototyping. You’ll collaborate with clients to translate needs into manufacturable designs and optimize materials for cost and performance.

You will create CAD models in ArtiosCAD, operate the Kongsberg sample cutting table, and manage related CAD files while juggling multiple projects to meet deadlines. This role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for folding cartons from brainstorming to prototyping and refinement.
• Apply best practices so structural solutions meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate directly with clients to translate needs into manufacturable designs.
• Research materials, technologies, and market trends to inform innovation.
• Optimize substrates and component choices based on availability, performance, and cost; recommend economical options.
• Create and iterate CAD files; build 2D/3D models and displays.
• Operate and maintain the sample cutting table (e.g., Kongsberg) and manage CAD/project files.
• Run multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.
• Serve as liaison between customers and production for flawless execution.
