Oliver Inc., based in Twinsburg, Ohio, seeks an experienced packaging designer to lead folding carton structural design from concept through prototyping and refinement using CAD tools.

You will collaborate with clients and production, translate needs into manufacturable dielines in ArtiosCAD, evaluate materials for performance and cost, and manage multiple projects to ensure on-time, scalable packaging solutions.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of structural packaging design, methods, and converting techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years of relevant, hands‑on experience.
• Proven experience operating a sample cutting table.
• At least 1 year with ArtiosCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Exposure to Esko tools such as Cape Pack and WebCenter is a plus.
• Adobe applications and Salesforce experience are helpful but not required.
• Collaborative approach; able to juggle priorities and still deliver quality work.

• Research materials, technologies, and market trends to inform innovation.
• Optimize substrates and component choices based on availability, performance, and cost; recommend the most economical options.
• Create and iterate files in CAD, especially ArtiosCAD; build 2D/3D models and displays.
• Operate and maintain the sample cutting table (e.g., Kongsberg) and manage related CAD/project files.
• Run multiple projects concurrently while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Serve as the liaison between customers and production to ensure flawless execution.

What You Bring

• Deep understanding of structural packaging design, methods, and converting techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Proven experience operating a sample cutting table.
• At least 1 year with ArtiosCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word (REQUIRED); exposure to Esko tools such as Cape Pack and WebCenter is a plus. Adobe applications and Salesforce experience are helpful but not required.
• Collaborative approach; able to juggle priorities and still deliver quality work.
• Clear, confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels.
• A troubleshooting mindset, strong attention to detail, and excellent close vision.
• Effective time management and follow-through.
