Job summary

Schuff Steel is seeking a Production Helper to support fabrication teams on complex structures and bridges. You will assist in lifting, moving, and preparing metal pieces, ensuring clean work areas and adherence to safety rules.

The role supports welders and machinists, with responsibilities ranging from handling stock to preparing metal for coating, painting, or shipping. High school diploma or GED plus related experience is preferred; PPE compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; and/ or 12 months of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Commitment to following safety rules and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lifts, positions, and moves workpieces to assist fitting and welding.
• Loads and transports stock, tools, and work in process.
• Clean and prepare metal for fabrication, welding, painting, or shipping.
