Job summary

Schuff Steel is seeking a Production Helper to support fabrication teams on structural metal projects in the Utah area. You will assist in handling, fitting, and preparing parts, supporting operators, and contributing to safe, efficient shop production.

We value a high school diploma or GED with at least a year of experience, comfort with lifting, operating basic tools, and reading instructions. The role offers health insurance and a path for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, and/or 12 months experience.
• Equipment knowledge including overhead cranes, forklifts and hand grinders.
• Reading and interpreting safety rules and manuals.
• Mathematical and reasoning abilities for measurements and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Lifts, positions, and removes workpieces to assist fitting and welding.
• Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process.
• Cleans and scrapes metal prep for fabrication.
• Performs routine duties and assists coworkers.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
