Schuff Steel Co. is seeking a Production Helper in Eloy, AZ to support fabrication and welding operations. You will assist in lifting and positioning metal pieces, loading materials, and maintaining a clean, safe work area on-site.

Roles emphasize following safety rules, using equipment like cranes and forklifts, and collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines on complex commercial and bridge structures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 12 months of related production experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to pass the tacking test on Flat, Horizontal, Vertical and Overhead.

Responsibilities

• Lifts, positions, and removes workpieces from machines to assist in fitting and welding.
• Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand or truck.
• Cleans and scrapes metal preparatory to fabrication, welding, painting, or shipping.
• Picks up and trucks scrap from work areas.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Performs other routine duties as directed.
• Assists fellow employees as directed.
