Thinklance LLP in Chicago, IL is seeking a motivated civil engineering student for an on-site role supporting inspections, CAD preparation, and basic calculations under the direction of a licensed engineer.

You will assist with specifications, material take-offs, and organize design calculations while collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines. This is a hands-on learning opportunity with a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Assist with on-site inspections and limited field assignments
• Utilize CAD programs to assist in the preparation of plan drawings and details
• Perform rudimentary calculations under the direction of a licensed engineer
• Assist with preparation of technical specifications and reports
• Perform material quantity take-offs
• Organize design calculations
• Assist project teams in meeting deadlines as needed

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college civil engineering program
• Experience with computer aided drafting and Microsoft Office products
• Punctuality and maturity with ability to work with minimal direction
• Ability to work outdoors for limited field assignments
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $21 to $30, based on skill set, experience, certifications, and location
