Job summary

LPU Batangas is seeking an enthusiastic civil engineering student for an internship in Fort Worth, TX. You will support client projects by performing structural analysis and 3D finite element modeling for transportation structures, under supervision.

You'll assist in quantity calculations, contribute to cost estimates, and help develop construction documents. Strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD are desirable.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures.
• Demonstrated interest in bridge and structural design and analysis through internships or applied academic coursework.
• Basic understanding of bridge design principles.
• Familiarity with CADD software such as MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a design team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Support real client projects by performing structural analysis, including finite element 3D modeling, design, and drafting for transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structures.
• Assist in quantity calculations and contribute to cost estimates.
• Help develop construction contract documents and review shop and working drawings.
• Coordinate work activities with other disciplines as directed.
• Assist in reviewing inspection reports and performing bridge load ratings under supervision.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly salary range of $21.00 - $28.00, dependent on experience and geographic location.
