Job summary

Abbott in Plymouth, MN is seeking an Operator II to assemble, weld, test and service pacemaker and ICD components under general supervision, following defined procedures. You will maintain accurate records, support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, and communicate clearly with manufacturing management.

A high school diploma and 2 years in a regulated production environment are required, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
At least 2 years experience in a medical or regulated production environment.
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; follow verbal instructions and use data collection systems.
Ability to prioritize work by sequencing and importance.
Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
Ability to make critical decisions.

Responsibilities

Ensure that job documentation for cell operations is accurate and up to date.
Troubleshoot and communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to management.
Represent the company during tours and communicate company policies.
Maintain safety guidelines and use safety devices in all operations.
Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives to improve processes and metrics.
Perform routine/preventative maintenance on equipment to maximize efficiency.
Maintain records to ensure traceability and quality compliance.
Support Lean Manufacturing and other regulatory initiatives.
