Job summary

Abbott in Minnetonka, MN seeks an Operator II in the Electrophysiology division to assemble, weld, x-ray, repair and test pacemakers, ICDs, leads and related medical device assemblies under general supervision. Monday–Thursday, 5:00AM–3:30 PM with potential overtime.

You will follow procedures, document records, participate in continuous improvement and safety, and support quality management systems; shift includes early start times and overtime possibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical or regulated production.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow procedures and follow verbal instructions; understand electronic data collection systems.
• Ability to prioritize work based on precedence and importance.
• Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
• Ability to make critical decisions with minimal supervision.
• Previous medical device/manufacturing experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date.
• Troubleshooting skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to manufacturing management in written and oral form.
• Positively represent the company during tours by demonstrating techniques and sharing information.
• Follow safety guidelines and utilize proper safety devices during all operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives to enhance production processes.
• Perform routine/preventative maintenance on equipment to maximize efficiency and longevity.
• Maintain accurate records to ensure traveler and quality documents are up to date and parts are traceable.
