Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience as structural fitter or related trades.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication and assembly.
• Experience fitting platforms, ladders, skids, tanks, or heavy components.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and layout tools.
• Basic welding process knowledge (MIG, FCAW, TIG or Stick).
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Able to work independently or in a team and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Layout, fit, and assemble structural steel components according to drawings and project requirements.
• Measure, mark, align, and position materials for fabrication and welding operations.
• Fit components including beams, channels, plates, platforms, ladders, skids and assemblies.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances with precision tools.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently; assist welders as needed.
• Maintain production records and ensure quality and safety compliance.
