Job summary

Lexicon is seeking a skilled Structural Fitter to join our team in Little Rock, AR. You will lay out and assemble fabricated structural steel parts to shop drawings, following AISC and AWS standards.

The role emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include aligning, fitting, and preparing components for welding, using hoists or cranes, and maintaining production quality.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent math skills for precise measurements and tolerances.
• Ability to pass a tape measure test to verify accuracy.
• High School diploma or equivalent with a Vo-Tech/trade certificate in mechanics.
• Must be able to fit most structural steel components including beams, columns, braces and simple frames.
• Must pass Class B welding tests as specified (FCAW/SMAW).

Responsibilities

• Layout and assemble fabricated parts in accordance with shop drawings using AISC and AWS standards.
• Lay out, position, align and fit parts for final assembly.
• Move and align parts using hoists/overhead cranes; ensure safety and quality.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and overtime/attendance requirements.
• Perform non-essential duties as needed.
