Job summary

Lexicon Inc. in the United States seeks a skilled Structural Fitter to join our team and build precision parts from shop drawings to industry standards (AISC and AWS). This safety‑sensitive role emphasizes accurate layout, fitting, and assembly of structural steel components.

Shifts are Friday to Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, with overtime and a weekly pay cycle. We offer health, dental, vision, life insurance, an HSA, paid holidays and vacation, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with Vo-Tech or trade-school certificate.
• Ability to pass a tape measure test.
• Must be able to fit structural steel including beams, columns, braces, and simple frames.
• Must pass welding tests (1G FCAW, 3G FCAW, 4G FCAW, 1G SMAW, 3G SMAW, 4G SMAW, 1G SAW).

Responsibilities

• Lay out and assemble fabricated parts per shop drawings using AISC and AWS standards.
• Position, align and fit parts together for welding or riveting.
• Locate and mark centerlines and reference points on parts.
• Move parts into position with hoist/overhead crane and prepare for final assembly.
• Adhere to all safety and OSHA regulations; overtime and weekend work required.
• Perform non-essential duties as needed.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent with Vo-Tech/trade-school certificate in mechanics

Ability to pass tape measure test

Fit structural steel (beams, columns, braces, frames)

Pass welding tests (1G/3G/4G FCAW, 1G SMAW)
