Responsibilities

• Read and follow blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions.
• Measure and lay out materials according to project specifications.
• Prepare materials and joints for welding and fabrication.
• Cut, fit, align, and tack structural components.
• Check dimensions, fit-up, and alignment using appropriate measuring tools.
• Prepare materials for welding, including grinding and beveling as needed.
• Operate cutting equipment and torches safely.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment as required.
• Complete required production and inspection documentation.
• Communicate with welders, supervisors, inspectors, and other team members.
• Maintain an organized work area and follow applicable safety procedures.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Night Shift Differential: Additional 10% for night shift hours

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will have experience reading fabrication drawings, working with structural materials, using measuring and layout tools, and preparing components for welding. Candidates should be comfortable working with hand and power tools and following established safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Read and follow blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions.

Measure and lay out materials according to project specifications.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position is performed in a manufacturing shop environment that may not be climate controlled.

The position may require employees to:

Stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.

Bend, reach, twist, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions.

Use hand and power tools throughout the workday.

Work around fabrication equipment, noise, heat, and other typical manufacturing conditions.

Lift and move materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.

Carry, push, or pull materials short distances as needed.

Climb ladders or steps when required for job duties.

Perform tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and accurate measurement.

Compensation

$25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifying night-shift hours receive an additional 10% shift differential.

Final pay is based on relevant experience, technical skills, and qualifications.
