Job summary

American StaffCorp is seeking a structural fitter-welder to interpret blueprints, lay out components, and weld heavy steel assemblies. You will read welding symbols, use jacks, grinders, torches, and cranes to align and fit parts, then weld using FCAW or MIG processes.

Strong safety discipline is required to maintain a clean, safe work area. The role involves passing specific welding tests (1G on Metal Core, 3G on Flux) and working 5pm–3:30am, Monday–Thursday, in Oklahoma.

Qualifications

• Pass written Fitter Test.
• 1G on Metal Core and 3G on Flux weld test required.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience with FCAW, MIG and SMAW on heavy steel.

Responsibilities

• Study engineering drawings and welding symbols to determine layout and material needs.
• Align, clamp and fit structural components for welding.
• Perform structural welding (FCAW, MIG, SMAW) on heavy plates and assemblies.
• Mark reference points and measure components for accuracy.
• Cut, grind and prepare joints using torches and grinders.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow PPE regulations.
