High Steel is seeking qualified welder/fabricators with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in either D1.1 or D1.5 welding. For those with only D1.1 experience, we offer classroom and on-the-job mentoring through High Steel University for experienced welders to gain their D1.5 certifications.

Shift Schedule

1st shift operates Mon - Fri 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Must be flexible and available to work overtime as requested or per business demand.

Responsibilities

Welders / Fabricators are responsible for performing various fitting, layout, welding, finishing, grinding and related operations to assemble and fabricate various structural steel units, including bridges and other building products.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required. High school or post‑secondary coursework or degree in welding/fabrication highly preferred.
• Demonstrated welding experience, including Stick, MIG, and/or Submerged Arc desired.
• The ability to work from prints, specification tables and with adjustable layout and measuring instruments critical.
• Must be able to pass the required welding certification test.
