Job summary

Bechtel National, Inc. is seeking a Project Field Engineer to provide field engineering support on LNG plant projects in the US Gulf Coast region, with potential mobility to other Bechtel Global Business Units.

Responsibilities include work planning, material management, quantity verification, and safety/compliance oversight. The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 2–5 years of relevant experience, or 6–9 years of equivalent work background, plus strong ES&H

Qualifications

• Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with environment, safety and health (ES&H) commitments and zero-accident safety program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Interfaces in planning construction methods and procedures.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
• Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
• Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems.
• Ensures zero accident philosophy and safety requirements are followed in the field.
• Develops firm understanding of system scoping and drawings required for package development.
• Reviews and approves inspection/test plans and coordinates submittals.
