Job summary

Bechtel is building a large-scale construction project in New Albany, Ohio. The role provides technical assistance, direction, and support to field supervision for structural equipment and materials across all disciplines.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree with extensive civil/structural experience, strong knowledge of structural steel erection per AISC, and proven ability to coordinate with design engineers, fabricators, and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent with 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years with at least 5 years in civil/structural construction.
• Knowledge of structural steel erection and AISC standards; strong communication and leadership.
• Experience managing technical services subcontracts desirable; Bechtel experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; field conditions require PPE and physical effort.

Responsibilities

• Act as single point of contact for coordination and resolution of all issues related to structural execution in the Pre-assembly yard and field.
• Assist Advanced Work Packaging team with development of work packages.
• Perform field material takeoffs from design drawings and monitor purchase orders.
• Lead inspections and ensure conformance to design drawings and approved test plans.
• Review schedules and align with material deliveries and project milestones.
