Job summary

BSI Engineering is seeking an experienced Structural Engineering Manager to lead our growing Structural team and shape the future of our practice. As a licensed PE, you will guide engineers on industrial projects across chemicals, manufacturing, and related sectors while mentoring talent and driving innovation.

You will balance technical excellence with people leadership, influence strategic decisions, and expand our employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
PE license required.
10+ years of structural engineering experience in industrial settings.
Experience leading people and projects as a direct manager.
Expertise designing steel, concrete, masonry, and structural support systems.
Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI 318, AISC, NDS, and related standards.
Experience with structural analysis and calculations using industry tools.
Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Ability to balance technical work with personnel development and client engagement.
Experience with RISA 3D and MathCAD is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of structural engineers and designers, fostering collaboration and growth.
Provide technical leadership for design and analysis of structural systems for industrial facilities.
Balance technical quality with project schedules and budgets.
Serve as trusted advisor to teams and clients for practical, cost-effective solutions.
Oversee designs, calculations, specifications, and construction documents for accuracy and compliance.
Champion innovation through new technologies and advanced analytical methods.
Support growth of structural capabilities including FRP systems and facility modifications.
Collaborate with process, mechanical, electrical, and architectural professionals.
Participate in field investigations and construction support activities.
Support recruiting, hiring, and succession planning for the team.
Develop client relationships and pursue repeat business opportunities.
Review, approve, and seal deliverables in line with standards.
