Job summary

BSI Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer – Industrial to join our Civil/Structural team in a hybrid role. You will design and evaluate steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures for industrial projects and collaborate with engineers across disciplines to deliver practical solutions.

The right candidate enjoys challenging work, has strong analytical skills, and can coordinate with field teams, clients, and contractors to bring designs to reality. PE is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience designing with steel, concrete, masonry, or wood.
• Strong structural analysis and calculation skills.
• Experience with RISA-3D or comparable software.
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, NDS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Own structural engineering efforts on industrial projects.
• Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Visit client sites to inspect existing structures and gather field data.
• Coordinate with designers and project disciplines to develop construction documents.
• Assist during construction, startup, and commissioning.
