Job summary

WSP USA invites applications for a full-time Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Los Angeles, CA or Atlanta, GA. The internship targets students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Structural Engineering program and offers a 12-week, mentored experience beginning May 17, 2027.

You will assist with research, field work, preliminary design calculations, and documentation, while learning core principles of structural engineering under senior staff guidance.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Structural Engineering undergraduate or graduate program with anticipated graduation August 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Structural Engineering and desire to advance skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Structural Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
