Job summary

WSP USA in Atlanta, GA is offering a full-time Geotechnical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. Open to undergraduates and graduates, the 12-week program begins May 17, 2027, with flexibility on start date.

You will perform field and lab tests, support design calculations, and learn civil/geotechnical fundamentals while working with senior staff in the Earth & Environment Team. Note: no relocation or housing assistance provided.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering or related program with anticipated graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Interest in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic civil and geotechnical engineering principles.
• Perform field and laboratory tests under supervision.
• Support field quality control tests of in-place concrete and soil testing.
• Assist in collecting project documentation and preliminary design calculations.
