Job summary

WSP USA invites students to join our Summer 2027 Structural Engineering Internship in Los Angeles, CA or Atlanta, GA. The paid internship offers real project exposure and mentorship through our Developing Professionals Network, with a 12-week program starting May 17, 2027.

Interns will assist with field work, preliminary design calculations, and documentation while learning under senior staff. This is a full-time, in-office internship with no relocation housing provided.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an accredited Structural Engineering undergraduate or graduate program with expected graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrated interest in structural engineering and desire to develop related skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Able to take direction from mentors and managers to execute projects.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Structural Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources and conduct.
